Corneal Topography

Digital Topography: Makes precision maps of the contours of the cornea (the front surface of the eye). The maps are stored on the computer which uses wavefront analysis to study the details of the images.

It is this technology which allows the fitting of advanced contact lens designs, including Orthokeratology. It is useful in detecting and monitoring the health status of the cornea as well as general eye health and especially in Australia the harmful damage of UV on the eyes. However it also has an array of other uses including: Keratoconus, post surgery astigmatisim (imperfection in the eye's curvature), disorders such as pterygium and much more.

David offers this as part of any eye exam when he feels necessary.
