I commenced my optical affair working and studying during the 1 hour service times of the early 1990’s. That was really what one could call baptism by fire, but the experience gained within the corporate sector was to provide me with a very strong foundation.

It was in the late 1990’s, during my time on the Gold Coast, when I was fortunate to work and dispense within an independent optical practice where I began to develop a true passion for going just that little bit further for my customer.

My decision was to remain within the independent optical world.

I joined David Shanahan Optometrists in 2005 and have felt fortunate to have been part of the company’s growth.

Finding the right lens for a lifestyle, occupation and budget is what I pride myself on, and with our incredible imported frame selection, I have a passion for assisting my customers find that unique look to guarantee their individuality.
